I love your food blog, Judy. This Cherry Chocolate Cake recipe appeared in the Holiday edition of Southern Living Magazine last year. I used that recipe to make the cake before Christmas and have made it four more times since then, including once for a pot luck dinner at church. My family loves it...they tell me it tastes like a cherry cordial!

Well, guess now I'll have to try it, too! Granny must have been ahead of her time. I love chocolate and cherries. My favorite candy is the old-fashioned chocolate covered cherry. I eat them any time of the year I can find them. This cake must taste just like those. Is that the same thing as a cherry cordial?

Gratitude

When you arise in the morning, give thanks for the morning light, for your life and strength. Give thanks for your food, and the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies with yourself.
